Last week, as part of my commitment to community development and corporate social responsibility, I had the privilege of securing the release of Mr. Abdul from the Ikoyi Correctional Centre.
Mr. Abdul, an indigent orphan from Northern Nigeria, faced significant hardships after deciding to convert from Islam to Christianity. This courageous choice strained his relationships and ultimately led to his wrongful arrest and incarceration. Two former associates, with whom he had severed ties, filed trumped-up felony charges against him, accusing him of fraud.
